My parents were here just last September. So you can imagine my surprise when they called and said they had booked a flight and were headed our direction again in January. YAY!!
I put them to work when they got here. My mom and I pulled the fabric off of my dining-room chairs and recovered them with a fabric that coordinated with the curtains. Then I made my dad hang the curtains. I came out ahead for sure!
Taking pictures was hard, Eli was not cooperating, so he and I spent most of the tour outside :/
I had taken the tour with Abby and her class back in November and really enjoyed it. So missing out this time around was only kind of frustrating?

What a great surprise!!
I'll bet it was a happy visit for everyone.
That mansion looks pretty interesting... but... I'd love to see the chairs you recovered too.
(:
What a fabulous surprise!!! How exciting for you. It's so great you are getting out to see all the great historical places that are so close. What a fun place to be at this age with your kids! We will have to get out there ourselves to see you!!
Those pictures are great. I can't believe they actually let you in the rooms! I have never been on a tour of any old house where they let you in the rooms! They normally have the door blocked with some sort of fiber glass or something. That is cool!
i LOVED your flash backs from Christmas' of old! Eli is SO big and so handsome and your girls are growing more beautiful by the day! Kyla asks weekly when we get to see you guys again! I love catching up with you via blog! So when DO we get to see you?!?
I love that you made your dad hang curtains!
That IS a pretty cool house. Tough I'm not too surprised that Eli wasn't wild about it. It doesn't look too manly...
SO glad your parents got to come visit! Mood times indeed.
That is awesome your parents came to visit! I am sure your kids loved every moment with them. I can't believe how much they have grown.
